In the category of “Best Office Development”, the jury of CIJ Awards Poland 2018 appreciated the various strong points of Koneser: the scale of the revitalization project; the hugely successful commercialization (98% of offices leased before delivery); the unique combination of top-quality architecture, fantastic location, compliance with sustainable construction standards and amenities for tenants. The marketing and PR campaign was recognized for its innovative approach and excellent execution. Instead of a typical opening ceremony, the team organized the first edition of the Warsaw Koneser Festival, considered to be one of the hottest cultural events in autumn in Poland.

‘Koneser is a pioneering project in Poland. It restores an authentic part of the city to people. It forced us to think out-of-the-box and implement unconventional solutions, so that Koneser could become a vibrant place, attractive for those who work here and pleasurable to visit for Warsaw’s residents. We are proud that our approach has been appreciated by the jury of CIJ Awards Poland 2018,’ said Magdalena Bartkiewicz-Podoba, General Manager at Liebrecht & wooD Poland.

The winners of CIJ Awards Poland 2018, a prestigious competition for the real estate sector under the patronage of CIJ Europe, were announced during a festive gala held on 6 November 2018 at the Airport Hotel Okęcie in Warsaw.

Centrum Praskie Koneser is a project which redevelops and gives new functions to the facilities of the former Warsaw Vodka Distillery, located in the heart of the Old Praga district. Koneser’s ambition is to be a place of integration, continuously changing to adapt to the needs of city dwellers and to their initiatives. The commercial part, developed jointly by the  Liebrecht & wooD Group and BBI Development SA, includes 25,500 sqm of office space, which was 98% leased before the project was commissioned for use. Koneser’s tenants include Atende, Campus Warsaw A Google Space, Clico, Energy Solution, LINK, RK Legal and Waberer’s Polska, as well as companies of the WPP Group, the world leader in communications services (Ogilvy Group and Kantar Polska). Koneser houses the world’s first Polish Vodka Museum, numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and retail outlets and event areas. The first Moxy hotel in Warsaw (the Marriott International brand) will be opened here at the turn of 2018 and 2019. Koneser received BREEAM Interim 2013 New Construction certificates at the “Excellent” rating level.

The marketing and PR campaign for Centrum Praskie Koneser, launched by a dedicated team, was based on an innovative concept. In cooperation with Co Jest Grane (Agora Media), an event open to all residents of the capital city and tourists was organized: a two-day Warsaw Koneser Festival. This year’s musical line-up included stars such as Hańba, Pablopavo i Ludziki, Krzysztof Zalewski, Jazz Band Młynarski-Masecki, Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa, Warszawskie Combo Taneczne, Michał Fogg and Wojtek Mazolewski in their joint project called “Chaos pełen idei” (with Ania Rusowicz, John Porter and Misia Furtak). Klub Komediowy, Pożar w Burdelu and Komuna Warszawa gave stage performances. During the festival weekend Koneser attracted a staggering 55,000 visitors. The participants of the festival also took part in the ceremony of handing over the public Koneser Square to the city and its residents.
