Koneser, a joint investment by the Liebrecht & wooD Group and BBI Development, is a bustling urban quarter of Warsaw’s Praga District. Restaurants, coffee shops, bars and clubs with a unique atmosphere are one of Koneser’s hallmarks. ZONI, bistro WuWu, Pijalnia Czekolady E. Wedel, Bar ¾, Ferment Praski and Frankie’s are already open. ORZO, a 24-hour restaurant/club by Grupa Warszawa, Bombaj Masala, Azia Restaurants and others will soon be ready to welcome first visitors. In total, there will be over 20 restaurants, coffee shops and bars on the premises.

Tenants of the Koneser food and beverages section have been joined by Foodio Concepts with two new brands – Papa Diego and Van Dog – which will occupy 166 sqm in the Koneser Passageway.

Papa Diego is a tasty essence of tradition, diversity and energy of contemporary Mexico; the brand’s menu features fast casual Mexican cuisine, such as burritos, tacos and burrito bowls. Van Dog offers gourmet hot-dogs made with sausages produced according to original recipes of local charcuterie masters, crunchy van-rolls and genuine toppings from all over the world, as well as many types of fries. Papa Diego and Van Dog will open their doors at Koneser in the spring of 2019.

‘Koneser is an authentic part of the city – an original space for culture, fashion, meetings, spending free time, but also for work and daily life. This is why it is important for the gastronomy offer at Koneser to be diverse and attractive for all Warsaw foodies. Papa Diego and Van Dog simply dovetail with this philosophy,’ said Magdalena Bartkiewicz-Podoba, General Manager at Liebrecht & wooD Poland.

Foodio Concepts is a company of Helios SA (owner of a cinema network), which is part of Agora Group. The project’s authors are Piotr Grajewski and Piotr Komór, formerly associated with the Warsaw restaurants Blue Cactus, Iguana Lounge and Hard Rock Cafe.

‘I am very pleased that Koneser will become a home for both our concepts. It is a fantastic space – a true city within a city, brimming with its own, inimitable energy. Papa Diego and Van Dog fit right in, and I hope that just like Koneser, they will steal the hearts of both locals and tourists,’ said Piotr Grajewski, Foodio Concepts President.

Centrum Praskie Koneser is a pioneering revitalization and re-purposing project located at the premises of former Warsaw Vodka Distillery. The very first Polish mixed-use lifestyle centre has been created on an area of 5 hectares in Warsaw’s Praga District, chosen as one of Europe’s 10 coolest neighbourhoods (The Independent, 2018). It is a space where culture and art, fashion, gastronomy, residential and office buildings coexist with generally accessible spots for spending free time and meeting friends. Campus Warsaw, the first initiative by Google in the CEE region aimed at helping start-ups, is located in Koneser, next to the world’s first Polish Vodka Museum. Warsaw’s first Moxy hotel (a Marriott International brand) is to open here at the turn of 2018 and 2019.

Koneser is a place for integration, which vows to change and respond to the needs of users and their initiatives. The heart of the investment is the generally accessible Koneser Square, solemnly given back to the city and its residents on the last weekend of September of this year.
