The Liebrecht & wooD Group celebrates the birthday of Koneser Square with as many as 60,000 guests!

A large dose of good music, delicious food from restaurants and food trucks, as well as fashion, design, and art in the only such urban space in Warsaw - this is how the first birthday of Koneser Square in Warsaw’s Praga district was celebrated. This past year, Centrum Praskie Koneser, managed by Liebrecht & wooD, has become the new heart of the district and an important point on the entertainment and cultural map of the city.

So important that this year's Warsaw Koneser’s Festival was attended by about 60,000 people. It is as if every resident of Żoliborz or Ursus attended the various events, which included the concerts of the biggest Polish stars (over the weekend you could hear the sounds of Nosowska, Organek, Fisz Emade Tworzywo, The Dumplings or the Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet "Komeda")!

The Warsaw Koneser’s Festival has already become a well-known, popular cultural event in Warsaw and the Mazovia region, judging by the turnout we had, says Magdalena Bartkiewicz-Podoba, General Manager at Liebrecht & wooD in Poland, and adds: We want the Festival to be a regular event. Since the first edition a year ago we have been working hard and gaining experience in creating memorable urban events, as well as collaborating with exceptional artists, performers and institutions. Today we can offer a lot more, both to locals and tourists alike. I am sure that everything we have done since the opening of Koneser Square proves that we are not only good at placemaking in theory, but also in practice.

The two-day, attraction filled Koneser’s Festival takes place at Centrum Praskie Koneser - the only such place in Warsaw. The Centre has completely changed Warsaw’s Praga district. The former vodka factory now houses a lifestyle centre of the city open to everyone – the centre of culture, business, and relaxation.

A five-minute walk from the Dworzec Wileński metro station will bring you to unique shops and Polish brands not available in shopping malls, and the largest restaurant and bar zone in Praga. Among the restaurants offering dishes from around the world, of which there will eventually be 20, you will find ZONI, Bistro WuWu, Ferment Praski, ORZO, Bombaj Masala, Papa Diego, Frankie’s, Bar Hotel Moxy, or the iconic Syreni Śpiew. Soon they will be joined by the Koneser Grill by Butchery and Wine, Odkupienie Win, Asia Restaurants and Dzieci i Przyjaciele culture cafe.

The life of the centre revolves around Koneser Square. It was here that many exhibitions, fairs and festivals took place this past year. In the summer there were many free performances, concerts and film screenings, and it looks like this will be the place to go for many more fun events – for news and updates please visit www.koneser.eu.
